Terms and Conditions

1) Enquiries and Bookings

Enquiry can be made to Homestay Experience via the Contact Form, on the Contact Us page.

Homestay Experience requires you to book in advance by atleast two weeks. One month is preferable because we cannot guarantee the availability of a room in our house.

However, we do have other families registered with us who may have a vacancy for your preferred dates.

Photos can be sent to you of the Family and their house if you require.

After receiving your enquiry or booking request, we will reply to you within 24 hours.

2) Package Price inclusions

The Kindergarten, Elementary and High School Packages include the following:

  • Airport pick up and drop off
  • Homestay accommodation, one room per family
  • Three meals per day for children (Monday - Friday)
  • Two meals per day for children on weekends
  • Two meals per day for adults (every day)
  • Kindergarten, Primary School or High School attendance for children
  • Pick up and drop off to school for children
  • Interaction with other children
  • Story-telling
  • English conversation
  • Weekly study projects (High school package only)
  • Use of mobile phone
  • Use of Internet
  • English College for parents (With English College package only)
  • School attendance for Parents with their children (optional)
  • 24 hour support & guidance while at your Homestay in Australia

For Working Holiday, Homestay Holiday and Home Visit inclusions, please refer to the Packages and Prices page.

Package Prices do not include Airline tickets, VISA applications or Travel Insurance. Please refer to Section 4 below, for these requirements.

3) Terms of Payment

Our terms of payment are as follows:

A deposit of 50% of the agreed full price is to be paid in order to confirm your booking, and the balance is to be paid upon your arrival in Australia after you have been picked up from the Airport.

The only acceptable method of payment of the deposit is Telegraphic Bank Transfer. Our Bank account details will be provided to you after we have received your booking request when we confirm your booking via email or fax.

Australian Travellers Cheques are accepted for payment of the balance after you arrive in Australia. If you do not have Travellers Cheques then payment by cash in Australian currency is also acceptable.

No money orders, credit cards, or cheques are accepted at this stage.

Payments are to be made in Australian currency.

4) Airline Tickets, VISA and Travel Insurance

All adult customers must arrange and pay for their own adult return Airline tickets, VISA and Travel Insurance.

In the case of children, it is the responsibility of the parents or carer to arrange and pay for their childs or childrens return Airline tickets, VISAs and Travel Insurance.

It is a requirement of Homestay Experience that all travellers hold valid and current Travel Insurance for the duration of their Homestay holiday.

5) Cancellation and refund policy

If you decide to cancel and give more than two weeks notice, then a refund of your deposit less any transfer charges will be granted. If you decide to cancel your booking after you have paid your deposit, but within two weeks prior to your arrival in Australia, then we cannot refund your deposit.

If for any reason you decide to cancel or cut short your stay after your arrival in Australia, then a refund will be considered. The amount refunded will be dependant upon the duration of the remainder of your stay, administration costs and other bookings. The maximum refund amount would be between zero and fifty percent of the full price.
